Be at the forefront of impactful projects and strategic initiatives, shaping the direction of underwriting and making a real difference in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.How You Will Create an Impact* **Expertly oversee underwriting operations**, ensuring timely, accurate processing of policy changes and reinstatements while maintaining compliance with all regulations.* **Coach and support underwriters**, provide co-signs for guideline adherence, facilitate ongoing training and development**,** adjust workloads for optimal flow, and set clear performance goals for team members.* **Establish and refine** processes to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.* **Serve as key liaison** for territory coordinating with field leadership, responding to claims inquiries, and regulatory tasks.* **Lead underwriting audits**, enforce best practices, and actively participate in strategic projects and committee meetings.What You’ll Need to Succeed* **Bring over eight years** of P&C underwriting experience, *preferably with exposure to leading teams and working with agricultural risks.** **Demonstrate advanced skills** in underwriting systems and data feeds.* **Exhibit strong business acumen**, analytical decision-making, and resilience, thriving in fast-paced environments and adapting to evolving challenges.* **Lead with emotional intelligence**, fostering collaboration, providing meaningful coaching, and building strong relationships across teams and partners.* **Communicate confidently with executive leadership** and peers, leveraging polished presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite and key business software.* **A college degree and/or insurance industry designation(s)** will help move you to the top of the list.*At Argo, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
