We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' communication and language development within educational settings. Position Overview As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment. Additional Details In person only; must reside within 40 minutes of the school district. Master’s Degree in Speech & Language Pathology, valid full Michigan license, license in Speech and Language Pathology, current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC); CFs can be considered. Current LARA licensure. Must possess and demonstrate a strong understanding of standardized and informal assessment strategies related to communication disorders. Must be confident in the ability to conduct comprehensive speech & language evaluations. Plan and provide services for students identified as speech and language impaired. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate speech and language functions Complete comprehensive and appropriate evaluations according to MARSE Standards, District Guidelines, and ASHA Guidelines Provide a complete diagnostic summary report, including a summary of the evaluation information Maintain communication with parents and other relevant team members Document student progress through specific objectives and long-term goals Complete Medicaid billing services efficiently, comprehensively, and timely Participate in building designated teams to provide pre-referral interventions When appropriate, make a referral for further evaluation Provide direct services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (if applicable) Educator Certificate (if applicable) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus Dedication to providing culturally competent and client‑centered care Benefits Health Benefits on Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision) with 50% employer contribution 401(k) with match and immediate vesting: 100% match for the first 3% and 50% for 4-5% (also a part-time benefit) Up to 40 hours PTO/sick time (also a part-time benefit) State Licensure Reimbursement National Certification Stipend Professional liability insurance (also a part-time benefit) EAP short-term disability (also a part-time benefit) Cancer insurance (also a part-time benefit) Pet insurance (also a part-time benefit) Life insurance (also a part-time benefit) Catastrophe medical (also a part-time benefit) #J-18808-Ljbffr Strides Therapy & Educational Services
