CNC Operator

This role combines hands-on CNC machine operation with general warehouse responsibilities in a clean, temperature-controlled facility. You will operate and monitor CNC equipment to produce precision components, while also supporting core warehouse activities such as material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory, and packaging. The position offers structured training on a day shift schedule and the opportunity to grow in a solutions-driven environment that values flexibility, ownership, and strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Load raw materials into CNC machines and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and routine machine adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct first-piece inspections to validate initial setup and confirm conformance to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections during production runs to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards.
• Carry out final inspections on completed parts to verify they meet all dimensional and quality requirements.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently using pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading, staging, and verifying shipments.
• Assist with inventory control tasks such as counting, labeling, and organizing stock using RF scanners when needed.
• Perform general labor tasks in the warehouse, including packing, packaging, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around CNC machines and within the warehouse.
• Follow all safety procedures and standard operating procedures for equipment operation and material handling.
• Collaborate with team members to solve production or workflow issues in a timely and solutions-driven manner.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating CNC machines in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong math skills to support accurate measurements, offsets, and quality checks.
• Experience with warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, including sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Experience with material handling, packing, packaging, and general labor tasks.
• Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and order processing.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks within both CNC and warehouse functions.
• Solutions-driven mindset with a focus on resolving issues and improving processes.

Work Environment

The role is based in a temperature-controlled facility that combines CNC machining and warehouse operations. You will work on a day-shift schedule, typically 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during a training period of approximately 30 to 90 days. The environment includes CNC machines, precision measuring tools, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts, along with standard warehouse equipment used for shipping, receiving, inventory, and packaging. The workspace emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, providing a comfortable setting for focused, detail-oriented work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
