Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MedSurg RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a 34-bed general medical surgical unit. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering quality healthcare and managing a varied patient workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a MedSurg setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams as needed.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient charting.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active South Carolina RN License or Compact License required.
• 2 years of experience in MedSurg or similar settings preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Must have experience with telemetry and insulin management.
