Ophelia Tavern & Bar Top | Avondale Estates, Georgia $10.00 per hour + Tips Ophelia Tavern & Bar Top is coming to The Dale in Avondale Estates, and we're building an exceptional Opening Team to bring two distinct but connected hospitality experiences to life. Ophelia Tavern will be a refined neighborhood gathering place serving Italian-inspired comfort food in a welcoming, no-fuss atmosphere. The menu features Italian tavern classics, including pizzas crisped in 600-degree ovens, fresh pastas tossed in scratch-made sauces, juicy house-ground burgers, thoughtfully prepared entrées and salads, and plenty of small plates made for sharing. With inviting indoor and patio seating, Ophelia pairs its food with handcrafted cocktails, a whiskey-forward bar program featuring a focus on Old Fashioneds, along with a well-rounded selection of beer and wine. Located upstairs, Bar Top adds another dimension to the Ophelia experience. The rooftop bar features a spacious covered patio overlooking the Town Green at The Dale, a cozy indoor bar, fireplace, and private event space. Bar Top's menu features classic cocktails, creative mocktails, light bites, a wide selection of local draft and bottled beers, and curated wines. We're looking for organized, energetic, and hospitality-driven To-Go Specialists who understand that our takeout guests deserve the same attention and level of service as guests dining inside the restaurant. At Ophelia Tavern, our To-Go Specialists will be responsible for much more than putting food into bags. You'll help manage the entire takeout experience—from accurately entering and coordinating orders to checking every item, properly packaging food, communicating pickup times, organizing completed orders, and providing friendly and efficient service when guests arrive. If you're detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant, enjoy interacting with guests, and understand how important accuracy, organization, timing, and presentation are to a great takeout experience, we'd love to meet you. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant, takeout, cashier, or customer service experience preferred Experience with restaurant POS systems is a plus Friendly, professional, and hospitality-focused personality Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Comfortable answering phones and communicating professionally with guests Ability to accurately enter orders and modifications into the POS system Ability to work efficiently during busy takeout and dinner rushes Strong communication skills with both Front and Back of House team members Ability to remain calm and organized when managing multiple orders at once Dependable, punctual, and prepared for every scheduled shift Professional appearance and positive attitude Team-first mentality and willingness to assist wherever needed Flexible availability, particularly evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events Position Responsibilities Greet and assist all takeout guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally Accurately take and enter takeout orders into the restaurant's POS system Confirm guest names, phone numbers, pickup times, menu selections, modifications, and special requests Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Ophelia Tavern menu Answer basic menu questions and help guests make selections when needed Communicate allergy notifications and special dietary requests according to restaurant procedures Provide accurate pickup-time expectations Monitor incoming and active takeout orders throughout the shift Communicate with the kitchen and management regarding order timing, delays, modifications, or missing items Carefully check every completed order for accuracy before it leaves the restaurant Verify entrées, sides, sauces, dressings, condiments, utensils, and other required items Package orders neatly and appropriately to maintain food quality and presentation Organize completed orders so they can be located quickly when guests arrive Process guest payments accurately Coordinate pickups with guests and third-party delivery drivers when applicable Clearly identify and verify orders before releasing them Communicate delays professionally and keep waiting guests updated Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized To-Go area throughout the shift Restock bags, containers, utensils, condiments, napkins, and other takeout supplies Complete assigned opening, running, and closing responsibilities Assist the Front of House team as needed during service Order Accuracy & Guest Experience Accuracy is one of the most important responsibilities of our To-Go team. Before an order leaves the restaurant, To-Go Specialists are expected to verify that the order is complete, properly packaged, and matches what the guest ordered. This includes checking: Correct menu items and quantities Requested modifications Sides and accompaniments Sauces and dressings Condiments Utensils and napkins when requested Proper packaging and presentation Guest name and order information Our takeout guests may never step beyond the front door, but their experience should still reflect the hospitality and quality of Ophelia Tavern. A great To-Go Specialist understands that missing sauces, incorrect modifications, forgotten sides, poor packaging, or an order handed to the wrong guest can completely change someone's experience. Attention to detail matters.
