Job Description:


Job Summary


Client is seeking a highly skilled Azure Engineer Administrator with strong expertise in cloud networking to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure, networking services, and cloud security, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Administration:


Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources to include: Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Storage Accounts, Azure App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and policies

Cloud Networking:


Design and maintain Azure networking components: Virtual Networks, VNets), Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall
Configure and manage: VPN Gateway (Site-to-Site, Point-to-Site), Azure ExpressRoute, Load Balancers and Application Gateways
Implement network segmentation, routing, and traffic flow optimization
Troubleshoot connectivity issues across hybrid and cloud environments

Security & Compliance:


Implement Azure security best practices: Identity management with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Azure Defender / Microsoft Defender for Cloud
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
Configure and manage firewalls, DDoS protection, and endpoint security

Automation & DevOps:


Automate deployments using: ARM templates / Bicep / Terraform and Azure CLI / PowerShell
Integrate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:


Configure monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher
Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and outages
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Solid 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure administration
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, firewalls
Hands-on experience with Azure networking services and hybrid environments
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:
Hybrid cloud connectivity models
Enterprise-scale networking architectures
Containers and microservices
Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
