Job Description

Hosts and Hostesses play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within the dining area. They are responsible for greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, handling reservations, and maintaining overall customer satisfaction during their shift, which typically lasts between 4 to 6 hours. Working within a medium-sized team of 4 to 7, hosts and hostesses help uphold the ambiance and cleanliness standards, while also addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally. Training is provided for any required reservation or seating software.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and coordinate seating arrangements
Manage phone and in-person reservations efficiently
Provide excellent customer service and address guest complaints
Maintain the ambiance and cleanliness of the hosting area
Prepare tables and monitor dining room cleanliness throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Teamwork and collaboration skills
Conflict resolution capabilities
