Chief City Building Inspector
Check plans and specifications, perform difficult and skilled inspection of residential and/or commercial and industrial construction to insure compliance with the City's Ordinances and for quality of workmanship.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
  o ORIGINAL diploma or official transcripts REQUIRED at time of application.
• Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
• Four (4) years of experience in building construction work.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Building Inspector with registration as a

Building Plan Reviewer.

• Possess a Registered Code Official and Inspectors card issued by the State of Michigan
  in compliance with the Skilled Trades Registration Act 407.
• Possess a Building Inspectors Registration issued by the State of Michigan in
  compliance with the Skilled Trades Registration Act 407.

Pay rate: $90,302/year - $97,067/year (After 3 years)
