Surgical Technician - Operating Room Per Diem Day

Job Overview Surgical Technician – Operating Room at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, Torrance, CA. This is a per‑diem position requiring 8‑hour day shifts. Responsibilities Review preference lists and select supplies and instruments for each procedure. Perform surgical scrub and prepare the back table with all required sterile instrumentation and supplies. Provide intra‑operative support by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and passing the appropriate instrumentation and supplies during the case. Complete each case by transporting instruments and equipment to the decontamination area and storing unused supplies and equipment. Qualifications Completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school. National Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. At least 9 months of experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $34.58 – $52.89 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
