Surgical Technician - Operating Room Per Diem Day

Surgical Technician - Operating Room Per Diem Day Location: Torrance, CA. Position: Per Diem, 8‑hour day shifts. Responsibilities Serve as surgical scrub technician under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Review preference lists and select the supplies and instruments for a procedure. Perform a surgical scrub and prepare the back table with the appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies. Provide intra‑operative support by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and passing the appropriate instrumentation and supplies during the case. Wrap up the cycle by collecting instruments and equipment and delivering them to the decontamination area; store any leftover supplies. Qualifications Completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school. National Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. Minimum 9 months’ experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room. Benefits Base pay range $34.58 – $52.89 per hour, with potential additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, and bonuses.
