Surgical Technician - Operating Room Per Diem Day Providence Little Company of Mary, Torrance, CA – 8‑hour day shifts (Per Diem). Description The Surgical Technician performs the surgical scrub role and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include reviewing preference lists, picking supplies and instruments for procedures, performing a surgical scrub, preparing the back table with appropriate sterile instrumentation, supporting the surgeon intra‑operatively by anticipating needs and passing instruments, and completing the instrument cycle at the end of the case by taking items to decontamination and storing remaining supplies. Required Qualifications Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school. National Certified Surgical Technologist (NCST) – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. At least 9 months experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room.
