Entry Level Transportation Engineer

Conduct traffic analysis and forecasting Perform traffic impact studies Contribute to the design of highway and road layouts Conduct speed studies Help implement complete streets designs Support securing necessary permits and approvals Assist with corridor modeling Estimate costs for transportation infrastructure construction projects Provide transportation support on large, multidisciplinary civil/site projects, including: Public schools design Collegiate/secondary education facility design Rail trail/bike path design Drainage & culvert design Bridge replacement projects Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering EIT registration preferred Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Synchro is a plus Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a bonus Exposure to CTDOT standards is helpful but not required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in traffic analysis, forecasting, and the design of transportation infrastructure, including highway layouts and complete streets. Proficient in securing permits and conducting studies related to civil engineering projects.
