Salary: $142,000 - 194,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform services, with experience leading high-performing software engineering organizations.
• We value a strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, infrastructure orchestration, deployment automation, fleet management, workload scheduling, or networking infrastructure.
• We seek proven experience defining technical direction and delivering complex, mission-critical platforms through cross-functional collaboration.
• We expect strong computer science fundamentals, including distributed systems, concurrency, software architecture, and system design.

• We prefer a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• We will have you lead and grow the engineering organization responsible for Fleet Management and workload orchestration within the OCI Networking Data Plane organization.
• We will expect you to define and execute the engineering strategy and roadmap for the platform that manages the lifecycle of OCI Networking fleets, including workload placement, deployment automation, capacity expansion, and infrastructure orchestration.
• You will build standardized platform capabilities that simplify how OCI Networking services are deployed, operated, and scaled across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• You will own organizational planning, execution, staffing, and delivery across multiple strategic initiatives while balancing customer commitments, operational excellence, and long-term platform investments.
• You will drive engineering effectiveness through modern software engineering practices, automation, AI-enabled engineering, CI/CD, and developer tooling.
• You will provide technical leadership by guiding architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineering managers and technical leaders, and raising the engineering bar.
• You will deliver reliable, scalable, and observable platform services with a strong focus on operational excellence, automation, and reliability engineering.
• You will partner across OCI Networking and OCI Infrastructure organizations to align roadmaps, influence platform strategy, and deliver foundational cloud capabilities.
• You will oversee architecture and system design for scalable distributed systems, including distributed state management tools, high-throughput processing, and elastic scaling.
• You will guide reliability design for fault-tolerant systems, including redundancy, replication, failover, load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting strategies.
• You will steer performance monitoring by defining KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, alerting, and system health visibility.
• You will help ensure correctness and availability through verification practices, replication, synchronization, and integrity safeguards.
• You will provide oversight for troubleshooting, incident management, operational readiness, and root cause investigations.
• You will guide security, compliance, and remediation efforts for multi-tenant cloud environments.
• You will support automation and change management through Infrastructure as Code and controlled patching, updates, and rollback processes.
• You will oversee planning and execution across multiple teams, including priorities, timelines, deliverables, and resource coordination.
• You will foster collaboration with business leaders, stakeholders, and customers while encouraging transparency and inclusive decision-making.
