Automotive Refinish Tech Representative

Job Summary Responsible for providing technical support at the customer level, primarily supporting the sales growth and customer retention efforts of our PB&E sales organization with a high-quality customer focus. Essential Job Duties Ensure proper use of Health, Safety and Equipment practices during work hours. Perform product demonstration and line trials to prospective and existing customers. Conduct in‑shop product training for new and existing accounts as required. Resolve product failures and problems; identify systemic causes and provide system or process solutions to eliminate recurrence. Support resolution of color issues with key accounts. Assist sales and installation of new accounts. Provide technical review of the repair process focused on product‑related matters. Ensure proper use of the products we sell and enhance customer output. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma / GED 3+ years of related experience Preferred Requirements Some college coursework desired 5+ years of automotive refinishing experience Completion of paint manufacturers’ training in waterborne paint application Strong color‑matching abilities Icar certifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rates, ratios, percentages and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics tools, etc. Create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives. Use moderately complex oral and written skills; may train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management. Tackle routine, somewhat repetitive problems by following clear directions and procedures. Make decisions that affect own job or assigned functional area; set personal goals and determine how to achieve results with few or no guidelines. Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity. Physical Demands and Work Environment Primarily sedentary work; required to sit for extended periods and use computer, keyboard, and mouse. May lift or move up to 25 pounds. Some positions may involve operating a motor vehicle; drivers must meet all eligibility and safety requirements.
