Accountant - Private Equity

Location: Lake Mary, FL
Are you an experienced accounting professional with a background in private equity and fund accounting? We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join a high-performing team supporting complex financial operations, investor reporting, and private equity fund activities. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with sophisticated financial products and investment structures.
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining critical fund data, and supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Report, analyze, and validate private equity fund data for clients, internal business teams, and external database partners
• Complete financial surveys, reporting worksheets, and supporting documentation
• Maintain and update fund and manager databases with accuracy and consistency
• Prepare recurring reports, communications, and financial notifications
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities
• Perform reconciliations across holdings, cash balances, accruals, and trading activity
• Verify and review tax-related documentation and reporting
• Support fund accounting processes and ensure adherence to reporting standards and deadlines

What We're Looking For:

• 4-5 years of Private Equity fund accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of partnership accounting principles
• Experience with investor allocations, performance fee calculations, and waterfall methodologies
• Advanced understanding of financial instruments including bank loans, bonds, and fixed-income securities
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and IFRS
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with specialized accounting platforms such as Investran and/or Geneva
• Ability to work with large data sets while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
