Shipping Supervisor

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day production activities with a primary emphasis on safety, health, and environmental compliance and production performance.Complete safety observations, recognize and address potential issues as they arise.Manage all shipments of material by rail and truck.Manage treated inventory on a first in, first out (FIFO) basis.Maintain housekeeping for areas supervised.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; BS in wood science or business preferred. 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree would be considered.Relevant industrial supervisory experience; management experience in the timber industry preferred.Safety, health and environmental awareness.Strong organizational, teamwork and communications skills.Experience with Microsoft Office products.Prior union experience is preferred.Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
