Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Reno, NV

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 hour night shifts, with potential to float to other maternal units such as postpartum and NICU. Schedule may include weekends and holidays, along with additional shifts as needed.

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Labor & Delivery to join our high-risk maternal care team. You will be responsible for providing exemplary patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist in a high-risk delivery environment, ensuring all necessary protocols are followed.
• Support laboring patients and their families through education and empathy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active NV State RN license required prior to start.
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS (STABLE certification preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-risk Labor & Delivery setting.
