Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts - Nights

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns, particularly in a high-risk environment. The nurse will work with a dedicated team to ensure safe and effective labor management and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit, including during high-risk deliveries.
• Monitor and assess patients to ensure the safety and effectiveness of labor processes.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as prescribed while educating patients and families regarding care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• May be required to float to other maternal units including postpartum and NICU as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery within a high-risk hospital setting.
• Current NV State RN license prior to start.
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS; STABLE certification is preferred.
