Staff Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing company in the Littleton, MA area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while working alongside an experienced CFO, Controller, and Senior Accountant. The company is experiencing significant growth and offers excellent long-term advancement opportunities. This position will initially focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable while gradually taking on additional accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments Support accounts receivable, cash application, and collections activities Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Support inventory accounting and reconciliation activities Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and tax compliance Participate in process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Recent Accounting graduate or 1-3 years of accounting experience Internship experience is a plus, but not required Strong understanding of debits and credits Experience with QuickBooks is a plus ERP experience is preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills Compensation is $50,000-$65,000 depending on experience.
