Responsible for obtaining competitive bids on all goods and services submitted on approved purchase requisitions. Recommends vendors and places the order with selected vendor in accordance with company policy. Communicates the status of any order pending with respective departments. Ensures purchasing and vendor licensing is conducted in accordance with New York Lottery regulations. Communicates effectively with departments on purchasing issues and compliance with company purchasing policy. Demonstrates and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.**Essential Duties**Assists in preparing and obtaining quotations, processing requisitions and issuing purchase orders. Reviews bid proposals. Keeps informed and evaluates new products available on the market and market conditions that would affect present and future purchases. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Assists in preparation of department budget. Recommends procedures for department. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.**Job Requirements***Physical and Mental*Must be organized, detail oriented and also have strong communication and delegation skills. Ability to consult and champion change management programs for productive service. Experience in contract negotiations. Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills. Customer centric.
