About the Opportunity
Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join a growing employment law firm in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of defense-side complex litigation and/or employment litigation experience, with the ability to independently manage sophisticated matters. This is a partner-track opportunity for an attorney interested in developing an employment law practice and building a book of business with firm support.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.

• Draft and respond to pleadings and manage written and electronic discovery.

• Develop e-discovery strategies and conduct depositions.

• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions.

• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and trial strategies for hearings, depositions, and trials.

• Lead or substantially participate in mediations and trials.

• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with litigation teams.

• Contribute to business development and long-term practice growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of defense-side complex litigation and/or employment litigation experience.

• Experience managing complex litigation matters independently.

• Employment law experience preferred; experienced litigators from other defense-side practices with a strong interest in employment law are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple matters, exercise sound judgment, and provide excellent client service.

• Interest in business development and practice growth.

• Admission to the Georgia Bar required.
