Roadway Engineer - Mid-Level

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer to support our transportation projects in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The engineer will work with a team to plan and design roadway projects, including intersections, interchanges, new alignments, widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. Responsibilities The Roadway Engineer will be responsible for: Designing horizontal and vertical alignments, developing roadway plans and profiles, evaluating roadside elements, and maintaining traffic design. Preparing construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment via comity from another state. 11-15 years of relevant roadway engineering experience (experience with VDOT preferred). Strong oral and written communication skills at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple assignments. Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Benefits Flexible work schedule options. Competitive salary.
