Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures. Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients. Assist with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment. Remove drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanse the patient of prep solution, and apply dressing as needed. Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use. Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse. Assist with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies. Check updated schedule every morning and prepare room supplies and equipment. Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants. Qualifications Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technician Program. Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred. Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification. Benefits Nationally recognized surgeons in spine and sports medicine.
