Network Support Specialist

Salary: $79,920 - 152,160 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 5 years of experience supporting RTX or similarly large, complex aerospace or defense enterprise environments with long operational histories.
• We look for familiarity with legacy network architectures and phased modernization initiatives.
• We require a minimum of 5 years operating in regulated, multi-site, globally distributed environments.
• You must be able to navigate account-specific governance, escalation paths, and stakeholder dynamics, and quickly build credibility by understanding past decisions, prior challenges, and existing constraints.
• We require relevant IT service management or networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or an equivalent qualification.
• We need a strong understanding of enterprise network environments, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless.
• Cisco certification is preferred.
• Experience with network automation or scripting is preferred.

• We provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support teams diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, software, and networked or wireless systems.
• We respond to escalated situations where first-line support has not resolved hardware or software issues.
• We report design, reliability, maintenance issues, and software bugs to the relevant engineering teams.
• We may support customer installations and training activities.
• We assist customers and users with highly technical or sophisticated products.
• We diagnose and resolve desktop hardware and software problems using our technical knowledge and available resources.
• We carry out installs, moves, adds, and changes activities, and perform data backup and restore work on selected client accounts.
• We ensure all related administrative tasks are completed in line with service level agreement targets.
• We build a strong understanding of the local and regional infrastructure and key contacts so the right teams are informed and actioning the issue.
