Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse

Seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to provide exceptional care for critically ill pediatric patients. This role involves working primarily in the PICU with the flexibility to float to Peds and NICU units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Adapt to float to Peds and NICU units, demonstrating versatility across pediatric critical care settings.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress continuously, documenting responses and updating care plans accordingly.
• Comply with all certification, licensure, and hospital policies to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license in good standing.
• Possess current PALS and BLS certifications; NRP preferred.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, especially in critical care settings.
• Be willing to work day shift (3×12-hour shifts) with flexibility to float across units.
• Maintain compliance with travel and onboarding policies, including timely submission of certifications and work history verification.
