Job Summary:
A Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures is sought for a critical access facility located in Polson, Montana. The role involves providing care across multiple surgical departments, including Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy, and Preoperative areas, with the flexibility to float within surgical services as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Polson, Montana
• Shift Schedule: Five days per week, 8 hours per shift. An alternative schedule of 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, may be considered.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Montana or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 2 years in perioperative nursing experience; experience working in surgical services including OR, PACU, or Endoscopy; Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neurological Impairment and Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Special Procedures/Skills: Experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, blood administration, laparoscopic procedures, C-sections, wound management, and more detailed in the position description.
• Schedule: 5-day week, 8-hour shifts, with the potential for 4-day, 10-hour shifts. On-call required (including weekends and nights), approximately 8 shifts per month.
• Additional Information: This role requires experience working in a critical access hospital and the ability to follow patients through from preoperative to discharge. The position encompasses all areas in the surgical department, including Preoperative, Postoperative, OR, and PACU. Candidates should be flexible to float within surgical services and assist in other departments within scope.
