Job Title Consulting – Technology Consulting – AI & Data - Data Design & Management (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1705504), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Austin, TX. Role Overview Demonstrate in-depth data management and governance knowledge, including data quality management, data integration, data modeling, and data cleansing techniques, in order to lead engagement teams in the strategic design and implementation of associated tools and platforms. Design methodology and execute activities to identify business needs and challenges through structured capability assessments, diagnostic analytics, solution analytics, and enterprise analytics. Utilize data strategy, data governance, data quality, data definition and usage, and data management to highlight US/Global client challenges, and identify opportunities to transform and improve clients’ organizations. Gather AI Ready Data, collecting company datasets (e.g. within operations, supply chain) to be leveraged for execution of client goals. Analyze data gathered using Enterprise Intelligence (EI) as a key enabler and integrate analytics and business intelligence to provide solutions according to clients’ organizational policies and IT environment. Establish project plan, delegate activities, and monitor progress to support successful and on‑time, high quality delivery of client engagements focused on data acquisition, validation, management and/or analysis. Prepare client deliverables to present engagement findings and recommendations and conduct quality assurance reviews to support high quality work products. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long‑term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Responsibilities Lead engagement teams in the strategic design and implementation of data tools and platforms. Conduct structured capability assessments, diagnostic analytics, solution analytics, and enterprise analytics to identify business needs and challenges. Highlight client challenges and identify opportunities to transform and improve client organizations using data strategy, governance, and quality. Gather and analyze AI‑ready data from company datasets (operations, supply chain) and integrate analytics and BI to provide solutions aligned with client policies and IT environment. Establish project plans, delegate activities, monitor progress, and ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery. Prepare deliverables, present findings and recommendations, conduct quality assurance reviews, and manage risk. Motivate and manage diverse teams, maintain client relationships, and identify business development opportunities. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field with at least 5 years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree in related field with at least 4 years of related work experience. Experience: 3 years advising clients in at least 2 of the following data supply chain areas: information strategy, data architecture, information/data governance, master data management, data quality/integration, analytics design/development. Sector experience: 2 years in at least one of Public, Utilities, Life sciences, Advanced manufacturing, Healthcare. Cloud platform experience: 2 years in at least one of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure. Data storage/database experience: 2 years with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or HDFS. ETL processes: 3 years with at least one tool among Informatica, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Talend, Integrate.io, Oracle Data Integrator, IBM InfoSphere, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, Hevo Data. Data cleaning/preprocessing: 2 years using at least one of OpenRefine, Trifacta, Alteryx, Talend, Informatica, Tableau. Program management: 1 year using Python, R, Julia, or SQL. IDE experience: 1 year in Jupyter Notebook, JupyterLab, RStudio, PyCharm, or Spyder. Data manipulation/analysis: 1 year with Pandas, NumPy, dplyr, or data.table. Data visualization: 2 years using at least two of Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, ggplot2, Tableau, Power BI. Travel: up to 80% of the time, including 10% international.
