Description

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Tech for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring 1-2 years of EP experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Electrophysiology Tech unit of a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation
• Utilizes Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA equipment
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 5th weekend
• On-call requirement of short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Uses Epic/Excellian charting system
• Open to accommodating block scheduling

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Electrophysiology required
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT-R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, and Fluoro Permit preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Pending license accepted
• Experience with EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
• Experience with EP studies, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, and AICD insertion/programming
• Pacemaker insertion experience required; LAA closure experience preferred
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform accurate monitoring
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include EP studies, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require candidates to live 100+ miles from the facility
• Returning employees must have been separated from perm staff or per diem roles for at least 3 months prior to starting
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
