Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) - Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists

PetVet Care Centers' Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists are seeking Care Coordinators to join their team. Position Overview Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Perform administrative and customer service tasks supporting the hospital. Within the veterinary field, the position aligns with roles such as Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist. Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists in Little Rock, Arkansas is the leading provider of specialty & emergency veterinary services in Arkansas. This role focuses on night shift and weekends only. Key Responsibilities Shift differentials for overnights and weekends. Coordinate the flow of pets and owners in the lobby; communicate with owners about wait times, scheduling glitches, and other problems. Identify potential emergencies in person and over the phone, and schedule those appointments appropriately. Organize and process all payment plans, billing statements, and collections. Perform cashiering duties; process refunds, returns, and credits as needed. Respond to inquiries about the range of services the practice provides and the species it treats. Input data to practice management software to check pets in; make simple postings to accounts; compile data for various reports. Receive and distribute incoming mail; process outgoing mail. Coordinate and schedule appointments; provide clients with any special instructions; call clients whose pets have medications to be picked up or updates on current invoice amounts or deposits needed. Respond to client emails; type and edit various correspondence; process faxes. Able to learn basic veterinary medicine terminology. Become familiar with common emergencies and confidently discuss with clients. Use Windows-based computer systems, word processing, email, web search, and other skills needed to effectively perform job responsibilities. Qualifications (Required) Must be 18 years of age or older. Veterinary or medical reception experience. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) 2 years of veterinary experience. Schedule 12-hour shifts either Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Friday, Saturday & Monday. Night shift, holidays, overtime. Part-time or PRN candidates will be considered.
