It requires diligence, determination, and a knack for knowledge. This role will be based in the Madison, WI area. Canon USA wants to meet individuals who strive for excellence in operational, maintenance, and networking support to help our valued customers with basic technical expertise of Canon-supported products. Your Impact Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics. Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field, shop, or on-site maintenance. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned. Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned and provide direction to less experienced technicians. Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service-related problems for any territory requested. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring Please note: this is a customer-facing role and may require complying with customer policies and protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination where applicable. HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments; ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class. Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record). Capacity to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift work and on-call rotations. Must take all necessary steps to obtain security or other clearances required by customers to enter their premises. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Anticipated hourly rate: $21.50 to $30.75 hourly.
