Junior Quality Inspector

Junior Quality InspectorWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing environment. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of manufacturing or machining experience who wants to develop their quality inspection and technical skills.The Junior Quality Inspector will perform dimensional and visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensure parts meet blueprint and customer specifications, collect quality data, and support documentation and non-conformance activities. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong attention to detail and an interest in building a long-term career in quality.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components.Inspect parts against engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other standard inspection tools.Collect and maintain SPC and Cp/Cpk data to monitor manufacturing process capability and identify trends.Assist with PPAP documentation, quality records, and customer submission requirements.Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products.Work closely with machinists, production personnel, engineers, and management to investigate quality issues and support corrective actions.Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure quality documentation is completed in a timely manner.Follow established quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Develop knowledge of precision machining, grinding, thread rolling, and related manufacturing processes.Qualifications1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, machining, inspection, or quality environment preferred.Experience in precision machining or aerospace manufacturing is highly desirable.Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems is highly preferred.Basic knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, and quality inspection processes is preferred.Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.High school diploma or equivalent required.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and work on a manufacturing shop floor for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. periodically.Ability to work in a production environment and follow applicable safety requirements.What We OfferConsistent Monday-Thursday schedule with a three-day weekend.Stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment.Training and mentorship from experienced quality and manufacturing professionals.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the quality organization.Exposure to advanced quality systems, precision inspection, and manufacturing processes.
