Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart specialty. This position requires experience in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care, with an emphasis on open heart procedures. The role involves caring for neonatal through young adult patients with congenital heart disease, post surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and ventricular assist devices. It is a day shift assignment with a focus on providing exceptional pediatric cardiac ICU care.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Nursys license or equivalent, license/certificate verification, ascension professional profile, two professional references, and completion of ascension skills checklist.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Specialty Name: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Open Heart.
• Experience: 3 years of relevant pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.
• Start Date: 10/11/2026.
• End Date: 01/09/2027.
• Additional Information: This unit features 24 beds in the Pediatric cardiac ICU and 12 beds in an overflow unit. Care involves managing patients with congenital heart defects, post-surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and ventricular assist devices, ranging from neonatal to young adults, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
