Munson PediatricCrisis Residential Program Projected Opening January - Start date December The Munson Pediatric Crisis Residential Program is a six-bed, short-term residential treatment program for youth ages 8–17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis, providing 24/7, trauma-informed care in a safe, home-like environment as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. During their typical 7–14 day stay, residents receive individualized treatment—including therapy, medication management, skill-building, and family involvement—to stabilize their mental health and prepare for a successful return home, school, and community. Staff are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that helps youth and families navigate crises and build a foundation for long-term recovery. The Behavioral Health Counselor 1 is responsible for supporting patients, coordinating patient care or wider behavioral health initiatives, and representing behavioral health throughout the hospital and wider community. What’s Required Requires a Bachelor’s degree For outpatient behavioral health – requires either the CADC, CAADC, (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor or Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor) OR the ability to obtain the credential and meet all requirements within the 3 year time frame.
