Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.In this role, the Environmental Technician II will perform routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks to properly treat, store, pack, move and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices along with Clean Earth policies and procedures.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Supervise and operate fork trucks and other heavy equipment when properly trained to move materials for storage / loading and off-loading / productionCollecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysisComplete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and proceduresPerform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by managementSeparate and pack materials for transport and disposalQualifications:Must be 18 years of age or older1+ years related work experienceAbility to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jackHave the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAbility to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respiratorPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous wasteBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
