AP Specialist

We are working with a client who is seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist to join their team in north Anaheim. This role will be responsible for the posting of bills of goods and services purchased by the company. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance.

This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week from 8am-5pm. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Anaheim/Los Angeles area. No relocation provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain Payables Controls: Post Vendor Invoices, Enter Checks and Credit Card Receipts, and Reconcile Vendor Statements.
• Understanding of 3-Way Match from the PO to the Receiving / Packing List, to the Vendor Invoice.
• Work Directly with Vendors to Resolve Discrepancies and Respond to Inquiries.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes for a Multi-State Operation.
• Maintain Vendor Files for Applications, W-9, 1099.
• Act as an internal auditor to ensure all invoices are processed promptly and accurately, following proper accounting procedures for purchasing and payments.
• Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex transaction processing issues, identifying root causes and recommending process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• NetSuite experience is required.
• Experience with project accounting is required. (Construction, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Multi state AP experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
