Job Summary Location: Methodist Women's Hospital, 707 N. 190th Plaza – Elkhorn, NE Work Schedule: 1 rotating shift per week Shift hours are 11:00pm to 7:00am Monday‑Friday and 7:00pm to 7:00am Saturday‑Sunday Responsibilities Provides appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient to ensure understanding and comfort level of treatment as outlined in the age‑specific criteria. Demonstrates ability to identify opportunities for and give individualized customer service/patient care according to customer/patient needs. Maintains a collaborative relationship with Medical Staff, solicits physician input, shares information regarding initiatives, and follows through on concerns. Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing are required. Experience: Minimum of two years as a staff nurse. License/Certifications: Current valid Nebraska RN license, compact multistate license, or temporary permit while awaiting licensure; Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred at hire, required within 3 months; Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing concepts and 24‑hr unit operation; management concepts; proficiency with nursing techniques and support equipment; communication, training, emergency handling, meeting facilitation, problem‑solving, proposal writing, and adaptability. Physical Requirements: Ability to exert up to 50 pounds; perform tasks such as climbing, crawling, kneeling, balancing, carrying, gripping, holding, reaching, and walking; manage repetitive motions and maintain standing or stooping/bending. Job Hazards and Safety: Work involves exposure to medical hazards including blood or body fluid, noise, temperature variations, sharps, and potential chemical, electrical, and radiation risks as typical in a hospital setting.
