Location Avera McKennan Hospital, United States Work Type Regular Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays Pay Range USD $32.50 - $48.50 per hour, actual rate depends on experience. Position Highlights Experienced RN eligible to apply. Postpartum/GYN – 72 hours/2 weeks – 12‑hour rotating day/night including every 3rd weekend/holiday, occasional call. Possible $6,000 or $15,000 sign‑on bonus. Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re‑evaluating care objectives. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other health‑care providers. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting patient status, and conferring with family. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals and instructing patients, families, and friends on condition, medication, and self‑care skills; answer questions. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes. Maintain a safe, secure, healthy environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and legal regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient care equipment operating, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, and perform preventive maintenance. Keep supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, and expediting orders. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including visual acuity, effective communication, hearing, and understanding speech. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license active in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
