Registered Nurse - Clinical Nurse Educator MB/GYN - 12 Hours/Week - Days

Job Summary Location: Methodist Women’s Hospital, 707 N 190th Plaza – Elkhorn, NE. Schedule: 12 hours weekly, varied based on workload and scheduled classes. Requires ability to travel to off‑site locations to provide education. Responsibilities Provide education and training to clinical staff with a focus on maternal care during and after pregnancy, lactation, and perinatal mental health. Serve as a clinical educator – Mother/Baby and OB/GYN, supporting staff development, clinical competency, and quality patient care. Mentor staff in developing and reviewing individual plans of care to address nursing needs and optimize patient outcomes. Facilitate the integration of evidence‑based practice in patient care and delivery of care. Conduct needs assessments and develop action plans to improve staff and quality of care. Design, develop, and maintain curriculum for core educational programming based on identified needs. Provide education to staff for specific learning needs on an individual or group basis. Coordinate orientation maps in partnership with service leader, preceptor, and Learning Center. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required. Master’s degree (MSN) preferred, with nursing focus preferred. Three to five years of experience, including three years of experience in Mother Baby nursing, required. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required (compact or temporary permit acceptable). Valid driver’s license required. Licensure & Certifications Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred. Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC‑MNN) certification required. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred. Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of databases preferred. Computer knowledge with word‑processing required. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and interaction with patients, families, and staff. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize work assignments. Ability to learn and retain computer skills required for the department and hospital information system. Physical Requirements Weight Demand: Medium. Work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
