Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Epic experience required. - Proficient in IV start. - Experience with telemetry. - Competency with ventilators. Description: The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will work night shifts. The nurse will care for critically ill patients in an intensive care setting. Patient ratios will typically be 1:1 to 1:2. The role requires a strong understanding of advanced cardiac procedures. Management of ventilated patients is essential. Experience with arterial line management and blood product administration is required. Candidates should be adept at interpreting arterial blood gases. Nurses will be involved in the administration of emergency medications. Continuous monitoring of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure will be expected. Floating to different units may be required as needed. Weekend coverage is necessary, with shifts scheduled every other weekend. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. References are required from supervisors or individuals in formal leadership positions. Education must be from an accredited nursing program. The role focuses on caring for adult patients with complex medical conditions.
