Senior Cloud Engineer

DescriptionKforce has a client in need of a Senior Cloud Engineer in Richmond, VA.Responsibilities:* Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure and platform solutions in enterprise environments* Build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures to support business applications and services* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code practices* Manage cloud resources, networking, identity management, storage, and access controls* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments* As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will partner with internal stakeholders to enhance platform capabilities and improve service delivery* Contribute to technical design discussions, process improvements, and architecture decisions* Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices* Mentor team members and promote reusable solutions, automation, and operational excellence* Identify and eliminate manual processes through automation and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience* 4+ years of experience working with cloud platforms and cloud infrastructure* Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions in production environments* Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, or software development* Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation* Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments* Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, storage, security, and access management concepts* Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills* Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate effectively across teamsJob TypeDirect HireCompensation130000 - $150000
