It features the region’s only Level I Trauma Center (adult, pediatric, and burn) and includes Virginia’s first NCI-designated cancer center (VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center). Come be a part of our Ambulatory Surgery team at the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) located in downtown Richmond! The ACC sees a variety of cases, including Ortho (arthroscopies and hand, foot, and ankle), GYN, Urology, ENT, OMFS, Dental, Ophthalmology (cataracts and vitrectomies), Ocular Plastics, minor Vascular, minor Neurology, Pain Management, Plastics (including liposuction), General, and Surgical Oncology. Schedule requirements: Monday thru Friday schedule with no nights, weekends or holidays! The Program Support Assistant performs a variety of administrative/clerical support functions for the Department.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/ALicensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/AExperience REQUIRED:Minimum of two (2) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office settingPrevious experience with Microsoft Office applications & e-mail/calendaringExperience PREFERRED:Three (3) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office settingPrevious experience in a health care settingEducation/training REQUIRED:High School Diploma or equivalentEducation/training PREFERRED:Post High School coursework in Business, Accounting or closely related fieldIndependent action(s) required:Performs administrative/clerical duties independently and without direct supervision.Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/AAdditional position requirements: N/AAge Specific groups served: N/APhysical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate):Physical - Lifting less than 20 lbs.Activities - Prolonged sittingMental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading, Logical thinkingEmotional: Steady pace, Able to handle multiple priorities, Able to adapt to frequent changeDays
