Job Full Description We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Pipefitter to join our contractor team supporting operations within a high-performance mill environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented trades professional who thrives in industrial settings, works well independently and in teams, and takes pride in delivering high-quality mechanical craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, fabricate, and repair piping systems using blueprints, isometric drawings, and job specifications.
- Cut, thread, weld, and bend pipe to required angles using hand tools, power tools, and pipe-fitting equipment.
- Measure, layout, and align piping components with precision to ensure structural integrity and system performance.
- Troubleshoot piping issues, diagnose leaks, and perform corrective maintenance on steam, water, hydraulic, air, and process lines.
- Work alongside mill maintenance teams to support outages, upgrades, and ongoing operational reliability projects.
- Ensure all work complies with steel mill safety standards, OSHA regulations, and site-specific procedures.
- Operate in physically demanding conditions including heights, confined spaces, and hot environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and system testing results.
- 3+ years of industrial or heavy-manufacturing pipefitting experience (steel mill experience preferred).
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
- Experience with cutting torches, threading machines, beveling tools, grinders, and rigging equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping codes, and material types.
- Ability to weld (stick or TIG) is a major plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and craftsmanship.
- Must pass site screening requirements and maintain compliance with PPE standards.

- Exposure to heat, noise, moving equipment, and elevated work areas
- Shift work or overtime may be required during outages or special projects
