Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee patient care, implementing personalized treatment plans based on evaluated needs and physician directives to address pain management and functional mobility.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate each patient's functional abilities, applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional testing to adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer individual and group therapy sessions, including manual therapeutic exercises and modalities such as traction and massage, while motivating patients in their rehabilitation journey.
• Coordinate with physical therapy assistants to ensure an effective delivery of care, providing guidance and supervision in accordance with state regulations.
• Regularly document patient progress, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during case conferences to develop comprehensive care plans and monitor patient progress, ensuring continuity in treatment and communication with healthcare providers.
• Evaluate the home environments of clients when necessary and recommend modifications to enhance independence and safety.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on therapy techniques, proper usage of assistive devices, and overall health maintenance strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest in physical therapy practices by participating in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
