What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating customized care approaches
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as per your credentials)
• Educating patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your legal authority
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and smooth care
• Meticulously documenting care data in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialized certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (within 90 days of hire if not current)
