Learning heavy civil scopes, construction methods, techniques, costs, scheduling, plans analysis Support of estimators/engineers by preparing supporting documents for heavy civil highway/bridge construction projects Learn computer design/drafting (CAD) software to quantify plans for estimators/engineers Learn to create and revises drawings, checking dimensions of plan, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to the project. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Experience in CAD and BIM strongly preferred. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Must work well in a collaborative environment Must possess excellent interpersonal skills Must possess excellent oral/written communication skills Must possess a high degree of detail orientation Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically excel, outlook, and word Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
