For the Front End Lead, this means being responsible for providing excellent customer service, supporting and guiding cashiers, resolving issues, ensuring register accuracy and front-end cleanliness, and helping train staff while maintaining strong knowledge of the store and its products. Your Day-to-Day Provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service to all customers; thank each customer for shopping at Adams Support cashiers with questions, issues, or customer concerns as they arise Ring up customers accurately and bag merchandise with care Set up and maintain clean, organized register stations, including supplies and cash drawers Maintain knowledge of store layout and produce items to assist customers efficiently Enforce front-end safety policies and ensure basket and bagging areas stay clear and tidy If assigned, train new front-end staff and assist in other departments as needed Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under a fast paced environment If assigned; help out in other departments when needed If assigned; assist the self-checkout stations What you bring to the Farm Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values Front end/Cashier Professional Experience Sustain a clean and organized workspace Knowledge of the Adams’ point of sale systems Have excellent communication skills Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality Working Conditions Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 25 pounds Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift Communicate with others to exchange information Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces Perks of the Job At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits.
