Job Requirements The Medical Clerk will have the following requirements: High school diploma At least 1 year of administrative experience, preferably with medical records At least 6 months of experience within the last year working in a medical environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Job Duties include but not limited to Receives patients, visitors, and telephone calls into the Emergency Department. Obtain identifying information and determines the nature of the visit/ call. Review all database information for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Ensure required forms/documents are completed appropriately. Alternates duty days between the Registration Desk, Floater Desk and the ED Treatment Area (nursing station).
