About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Highlights Location: Perth Amboy, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or to be acquired within three years of hire. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
