This facility provides comprehensive interventional cardiology services with modern cardiac catheterization laboratory capabilities, including echocardiography and stress testing equipment. The hospital maintains established protocols for emergency STEMI interventions and routine cardiac procedures across inpatient, clinic, and emergency department settings. Clinical operations are structured on-site to ensure continuous cardiac care availability across all assigned coverage periods.

Sonora, California, known as the Queen of the Southern Mines, is a historic Gold Rush-era city in Tuolumne County that serves as a base for exploring the surrounding region, including proximity to Yosemite National Park. The downtown area features shops, restaurants, and museums such as the Tuolumne County Museum, along with cultural attractions including the Me-Wuk Cultural Center and Sierra Repertory Theatre. Clinicians on assignment may also explore nearby destinations such as Columbia State Historic Park, Indigeny Reserve, and Gianelli Vineyards, with seasonal farmers' markets available on Saturday mornings.

The interventional cardiologist will provide comprehensive 24-hour STEMI call coverage for emergency cardiac interventions requiring immediate response across inpatient, clinic, and emergency department settings. Clinical duties include managing 12 patients per day in the clinic setting and responding to facility calls for echocardiogram interpretation, stress test reading, and ECG interpretation, as well as providing cardiac consultations for all inpatient and emergency department patients. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to facility calls in a timely manner per medical staff guidelines. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required for consideration.
