Mammography Technologist

Radiology Mammography Work Schedule Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift Days Location Onsite role (no hybrid or remote option) Responsibilities Perform mammography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Review patient history, physician's orders, and scheduling. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Assist physician with interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization. Prepare equipment and supplies. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Participate in ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations. Analyze results and identify issues with image quality; take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re‑positioning patients and repeating the procedure. Apply critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT‑R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT‑M within 12 months.
